The Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine has been producing industry-ready practitioners in Australia since 1984, through their four-year Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (BTCM) undergraduate degree.
The course delivers a comprehensive foundation in the theory and practice of traditional Chinese medicine. Our integrated approach sees students flourish with a balance of hands-on clinical training, combined with scientific studies of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese herbal dispensing, and biomedical sciences.
Approved by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA), graduates are qualified for registration. This allows SITCM graduates to perform professional practice within Australia under the following titles:
To ensure graduates are equipped to successfully enter the workforce, students explore the role of a professional Chinese medicine practitioner within the Australian healthcare system.
FEE-HELP is a student loan scheme, available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at SITCM.
This program is funded by the Commonwealth Government to assist eligible students to pay for all, or part of their tuition fees. FEE-HELP loans are not subject to income/asset tests, or age restrictions.
